For my Xbox 360 I have a red red flashing in the lower right hand corner, anybody know what is wrong?
i know you prolly thinking "GOD I dont want to send it to them" but DO IT i had to! sadly its part of having a xbox.
happy gaming
The first and most basic one is that there is no output cable plugged in. If you have some sort of A/V cable in, then the problem is most likely to be that your system overheated. This is quite common in older XBOX 360s, and has been coined "rrod" (Red Rings of Death). The best thing to do if your 360 is still under warranty and you have this problem is to send it in to Microsoft and have them fix it.
If your box isn't under warranty for whatever reason, and you are tech savvy, you can purchase kits online to fix the issue yourself, but I wouldn't recommend this if you can send it in to Microsoft.
Additionally, a temporary fix is to "towel trick" your 360. This involves wrapping your xbox in a cotten towel, leaving it on for around 10 minutes, then shutting it down for a while (10-15 minutes) and turning it back on. This usually allows for a short while more of playing (usually ranges from 20 minutes to a few hours) before it overheats again. I would not recommend doing this, as it can damage other parts of your 360, but it is a viable option.
hope this helped!
