"Dear God, please protect me from my friends; my enemies, I can handle" so called friends can stab you in the back because you don't expect a "friend" to behave that way.your enemy is known to you so you build defense against them.Friends can both surprise you by betraying you but also by trying to act in your interests ( as they see them ) and actually act against them ( as you see them.). Enemies, on the other hand, can safely be assumed to have malevolent intent and so can be guarded against. That is a prayer, not a question.
